BATTLE OF BANDS
The vibrating strings. The budge of keyboard and the throbbing drums. The music aloud n lots more. Tighten yourselves on your seat because you’ll enthralled by the magic. Presenting a Battle of Bands on the Cultural Night. It will be a Main Stage Event. One person can Register in One ban only.

Know Your Senses
It is an Event to test your senses. A limited Entry of 50 people will be entertained. Groups of 3 people will be made and different tasks would be given to check your senses.
The judging will be on the basis of Accuracy and Precision.
GROOVE N MOVE
GROUP DANCE
A group should have a minimum of 6 members.
Time alloted will be 8 mins.
It will have two rounds,one prelims and another final round (on stage).
No. of groups seleted for final round will be 8 (6 from jiet & 1 from jiit & juit each).
The judgment will be done on the basis of choreography, song selection, costumes, expressions & co-ordination.
DANCE PE CHANCE
DUET DANCE
Participants may make their pair in any combination (only girls,only boys or one boy one girl).
The judgement will be based on choreography, expressions, song selection but most importantly on compatability
and co-ordination between the partners.
It will again have two rounds,only 10 teams in total (6 from jiet & 2 from jiit & juit each)will be selected for the final round.
The teams will have to perform on a particular theme (disco,retro,break-dance etc.)/dance form (jugalbandi,salsa etc) of their own choice .
They will also be judged on their theme and justice to theme.
Time allotted will be 5 mins.
Jazz-e-mania
SOLO FREE STYLE DANCE
It includes western, bollywood, hip-hop etc.
Time allotted will be 5 mins.
Judgment will be purely done on the basis of choreography, expressions, costume, song selection, energy/confidence.
It will have two rounds; one will be the prelims and the other final round.
Only 10 participants(6 from jiet & 2 from jiit & juit each)will be selected for the final stage performance.
PAG GHUNGHROO BANDH
SOLO INDIAN CLASSICAL DANCE
One can take up any of the classical dances of

There will be two rounds; one will be the prelims and the other final round.
Only 4 participants will be selected for the final stage performance.
Magazine Making Competition
Team size- 5 people in one team
Time duration- 2 hrs
A theme will be given to you on the spot.
You have to design a magazine which should have:
- Cover page- Name of the magazine, other relevant details.
- 1 article related to the theme in English.
- 1 poem in English.
- Hindi section(content of your choice)
- Editorial section
- Fun section(jokes, puzzles, riddles, cartoon strip)
- 1 innovative section (free zone)
Materials provided:
- A-4size sheets-15 each
- Sketch pens, crayons, pencil colors
- Coloured pens
- Scissor, fevicol, cellotape
- Pencil, eraser, sharpener
Judgement criteria:
- Creativity
- Organization of matter
- Originality and nearness to a real magazine
- Presentation explaining the magazine
- Article content
Solo Instrumental
One participant can play any instrument of his choice. The judging will entirely be on how you please the judges with your instrument. Singing is not allowed.
Sargam (Solo Singing)
Music is the essence of life; it quenches the thirst of soul. Unwind yourself, feel the reverberation around. The singer is allowed to use Guitars, flutes or synthesizer played by another person. If more than one person sings, the participants will be disqualified. It is also a Main Stage event and winners will be announced on the spot.
Duet Singing
A team of two participants, a boy and a girl is required. Use of guitars and synthesizer is allowed. Percussion instruments or Karaoke are not allowed in Duet Song. The winner will perform on stage on the Cultural Night.
Group Singing
It will be a main stage Event during the day time. One person can take part in one group only. A group should have a minimum of 2 members. Use of guitars and synthesizer is allowed. Percussion instruments or Karaoke are not allowed in Group Song.
Headlines Buster
It is a very innovative event to explore the dimensions of one’s mind in journalism. A newspaper will be provided. Participants have to pick a headline from the newspaper and will have to use his creative imagination to take that headline to a new level by reframing the headline. Participant can pick another headline and make a new fictious story by playing with the words of the two headlines. The entire fictious news created will judged and winners will be announced.
Ad-Mad (Advertisement)
A team may be of maximum 6 contestants.
In Round 1, they have to come prepared with an advertisement of any product which may be original creative advertisement or an idea taken from any existing advertisement.
Creativity will be one of the main judging criteria.
In Round 2, a product will be given to the team on the spot and 15 mins will be given for preparations.
Winner will be announced on the spot.
Nukkad Natak
This event as the name suggests is a street play.
Each team will have minimum 5 contestants in each team.
Each team will be given 15 to 25 minutes max to complete their street play.
Use of Only Dhapli and Lathi is allowed.
Microphones or sound equipments are NOT allowed.
DJ Asia
A War of Djs
In preliminary round participants will have to submit their compiled tracks using Virtual DJ software.
In next round participants have to bring along with them their compiled tracks which they will play on the jukebox.
Winner will be selected on the basis of song selection, mixing of tracks, and audience response.
Kite Flying
A kite flying competition will be held and the rules will be disclosed on the spot.
A kite seller will be available in the college on that day. You may purchase the kites and all other required material on the spot itself.
Fortune Trail (Treasure Hunt)
A team will consist of 6 members.
In Preliminary round, team has to answer some logical questions on the basis of which entry into next round will be decided.
Round 2 will be a hunt for treasure in the entire college campus. Clues will be given during the task. The team which finds the treasure first, takes what’s in the treasure.
Know your Country (Visual Quiz)
A visual quiz will be conducted. Simple questions related to our country will be displayed.
Further rules will be given on the spot.
The participant with the maximum correct answers will be declared winner.
Just do it
It is an individual competition.
Any thing you feel you can do better than others i.e., your talent, you have to come up and perform.
Feel as Harsha bhogle (Commentry)
It will consist of two members in the team.
An old cricket clip will be shown on the projector for 5-7 mins.
Participants need to do live commentary on the clip.
For the preliminary round, participants need to give their recorded commentary on any cricket clip they wish.
Panel of judges will choose the winner
Aj Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hain
The number of contestants will be decided by the crowd present there.
They have to dance within limited area provided
The one who last for longest will be the winner.
The Best Eat
This is an event which will test
An individual will be given a set of food items and one has to finish them in limited amount of time.
Whosoever will finish most and fast will be declared as the winner.
Twist in the Tale (Situational Acting)
It will consist of two to four people in a group.
Participants will be provided with a situation and 15 min to prepare the act.
Event will consist of 2-3 rounds depending upon the no. of participants.
Winner will be announced on the spot.
WAR OF PJ (Poor Jokes)
A Poor joke contest.....
An event to be held in 2 rounds.
The preliminary round - all the participants have to write the jokes on a piece of paper.
The paper will be judged by our judges.
10 people will be selected, and they will have to enthrall the audience with their on spot actual PJs.
And the winner will be decided immediately after the event.
SANDOHAN (Creativity using Waste)
It may consist of a team of two or three people.
Participants will be provided with the waste materials.
Using those materials, they’ll have to make creative/artistic.
The best creativity will be awarded.
Time provided will be one and half hour.
PAPERAZZI (Paper Dance)
The paper dance contest…
Entries will be on the basis of first come first serve.
A team will consist of two members.
The whole event will be conducted into 3 rounds.
This is all about dance on a sheet of paper (approximately of newspaper’s size). Each time the music stops, participants have to fold the paper into half.
All have to repeat the same till the last pair stands without touching the ground.
Finally 3 pairs will be selected for the final round, and the process will be repeated.
Cradle of Filth
This event will include loads of challenging tasks n events, which will consist of both individual n teamwork game play, which makes it a far more notorious and tougher than rest of the traditional JAMs.
Entrance criteria:
Individuals will be selected on the basis of a Form Entry.
Judging criteria:
Judging will be completely based on individual endeavor, deft decision making, and performance in team.
Note: There will be eliminations in the rounds.
Time:
Time given for each task is 1min.
Duration of 2 days.
JIET ROADIES
Stage I: Written Exam
Question Paper will consist of 15-20 questions
Time duration : 45 min
30-50 selections depending upon the no. of participants
Stage I will take place on 27th of February, Friday
Stage II: Interviews
The selected participants will then be interviewed by the judges.
10 finalists will proceed to the last stage
Stage II will take place on the fest day…5th March
Stage III: Tasks and Evictions
9 tasks will be given to the finalists each followed by an eviction process where 1 contestant moves out.
The last remaining contestant WINS.
NOTE:
The 9 tasks will take place on all the 3 fest days divided equally.
The WINNER will be declared on the last day of the fest.
JIET ‘Mini Roadies’ is inspired from the popular show MTV Roadies
The Event promises to have all the fun and enjoyment one expects from it and more in a very safe and hassle free manner. It also boasts of bringing out the zeal, confidence and the DIE-HARD attitude of JIETians.
